Totalis Solutions continue to work closely with Belfast City Council, local people, businesses and agencies to bring out the best in our arterial routes and neighbourhoods.
Totalis have been carrying out improvements on Belfast’s arterial routes since 2013 and the Renewing the Routes project has been recognised locally and nationally for the difference it has made, winning several high profile awards and nominations for urban regeneration.
Work completed as part of the arterial routes project include:
- cosmetic improvements to building facades in commercial areas, including new signage lighting and painting
- improvements to shared public spaces (landscaping, planting and public art)
- restoring historical features on heritage sites
Many of Belfast’s neighbourhoods have formed traders groups or business associations and the Renewing the Routes programme has helped to by improving the physical appearance of shopping areas.
Our 2014-2015 projects which have been completed were, Lisburn Road from Bradbury Place to Tates Avenue and the Castlereagh Road from Beersbridge Road to Grand Parade.
Our 2014-2015 projects which have just started in July are York Road from Fife Street to York Park and the Shankill Road from Peters Hill to Agnes Street.
